Shank Challenge

V piatok som bol pozvany na oslavu Azzovych narodenin. Azz sa rozhodol urobit oslavu svojich 24-tych narodenin v okruhu najblizsich priatelov a tak sme boli pozvany ja, Shaun a jeho priatelka Caitlin, Jess a jej priatel Jake a kolegovia Matt a Laura. Ako miesto oslavy vybral Azz SSS BBQ Barn Steakhouse, co ma celkom potesilo, lebo steak som si uz dlhsie nedal. Nakoniec som si to nedal tak ci tak, lebo Azz nas vsetkych prehovoril, nech skusime Shank Challenge.

Co je vlastne Shank Challenge? Slovo shank v anglictine znamena holennu kost, a slovo challenge je vyzva. Teda som si myslel, ze to bude vyzva zjest celu holennu kost. Nebolo to take jednoduche. Cela vyzva spocivala v zjedeni:

1. entree - predjedlo (v nasom pripade bravcove rebierka)



2. Beef Shank - hlavne jedlo - teda cela holenna kost hovadzieho masa o vahe 2,5kg s hranolkami a salatom.



3. Dezert - par kopcekov zmrzliny a k tomu este mensi kolac.



Oci som mal sice velke a som si povedal, ze ja ako milovnik masa predsa tolko masa v pohode zjem. No nebolo to take jednoduche. Bolo to toho celkom dost, naviac este chut toho masa - cim viac som zjedol, tym nevyraznejsia chut. Bohuzial po zjedeni asi 2 kil, som uz viac nevladal a tak som tu vyzvu nepokoril. Jediny komu sa to podarilo bol Azz, ktory ako odmenu dostal klobuk a zapisal sa do zoznamu tych co tu vyzvu pokorili.



Oslava nakoniec ale dopadla celkom dobre, kazdy sa zabavil, i ked ma neskor v ten vecer ako aj cely nasledujuci den riadne bolelo brucho a teda nikomu taketo prezieranie sa neodporucam. Viac fotiek z tejto akcie najdete tu

Recept

Ked uz hovorime o jedle, pre ludi co chcu vyskusat nieco nove, tu mam recept od kolegu z financneho oddelenia. Slovenska verzia je pod anglickou.

Anglicka verzia

A new recipe from Kamran Gondal, Accounts Receivable.

Chicken Marsala
Ingredients:
1 kg chicken breast boneless (cut thin pieces)
1 onion (chopped)
2 green chillies (chopped)
2 tomatoes (chopped)
1 capsicum (chopped)
1 clove garlic (crushed)
fresh ginger (chopped)
¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ cup chicken stock
salt according to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Heat the oil in a frying pan and put the onion, green chilli, capsicum, garlic and ginger and cook them for at least 5 minutes and then add the tomatoes and cook until turns in to a past, add the chilli powder and salt and leave for 2 minutes and then add the chicken and leave for 3-5 minutes and then add ½ cup water and ½ cup chicken stock and let it cook until the chicken is cooked.

If you don't want it spicy don't put any green chillies and if any one don't like the spicy food and you realised after cooking, Take one cup of full cream milk, add 1 tablespoon honey in the milk, add it in the spicy curry and cook it on low heat for ½ hour.

Kuracie maso na styl Marsala

Prisady:
1 kg vykostene kuracie prsia (nakrajat na tenke kusky)
1 cibula (pokrajana)
2 zelene chilli papricky (pokrajane)
2 paradajky (pokrajane)
1 paprika (pokrajana)
1 strucik cesnaku (pretlaceny)
cerstvy zazvor (nakrajany)
¼ cajovej lyzicky cerveneho chilli korenia (v prasku)
½ pohara kuracieho vyvaru (alebo bujon)
sol podla chuti
2 polievkove lyzice oleja

Olej nahrejeme v panvici a pridame cibulu, zelene chilli papricky, papriku, cesnak a zazvor a nechame povarit najmenej 5 minut a potom pridame paradajky a varime dokial nam zmes nestuhne, pridame cerevene chilli korenie a sol a nechame povarit 2 minuty a potom pridame kuracie maso a nechame povarit cca 3-5 minut a potom pridame ½ pohara vody a ½ pohara kuracieho vyvaru (alebo bujon) a nechame povarit az dokym nie je kuracie maso uvarene.

Ak nechcete aby to bolo stiplave, nepridavajte ziadne chili papricky a ak niekto nema rad stiplave jedlo a vy to zistite az po uvareni, vezmite pohar plnotucneho mlieka, pridajte 1 polievkovu lyzicu medu do mlieka, pridajte tu zmes do stiplavej omacky a povarte na slabom ohni ½ hodiny.

Ten Azz, to je ten, co je jako dva? Tak to se celkem nedivim, že to zvládnul:)
Jinak to je šílenství, normální porce, co dostaneš v restauraci, je tak desetina tohohle, ne?
